Nathaniel Haynes, who signed with LPG in February 2016, has officially accepted a scholarship to continue his education and playing career at Southwestern University (TX).
The news comes on the heels of Luce Prospect Joey Leondike accepting a scholarship to William Jewell (MO) earlier this week.
“Needless to say, we’ve had a busy week here at LPG,” commented Founder/CEO Jake Luce. “When Nathaniel called and told me, I couldn’t help but smile. This kid has worked extremely hard over the past 14 months in order to put himself in a position to be successful. That phone call sealed the deal; he’s earned it.”
Haynes announced his commitment on Twitter earlier this week, and included the following message…
“I am super excited and blessed to announce that I have committed to play baseball for Southwestern University next year! I have to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity, and the ability to keep playing this wonderful game every day. Thank you to my parents for always being there for me and being my #1 fans my whole life. Thank you to Jake and the Luce Prospect Group. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for his help, and I am proud to be part of The Elite! Go Pirates!”
